2 regular size cans tuna,
drained
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 big Tablespoon Garlic Powder
Mix ingredients
together in big doughy ball. Press 1/4 inch thick onto a cookie sheet
sprayed with Pam. Cook at 250 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes. Cut into
small cubes. Store in fridge or freezer.
15 oz. can mackeral
1 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 - 3 Tbs.
garlic powder
Puree mackeral, juice and all, and mix all ingredients well. Spread
batter on a lightly greased piece of aluminum foil on a cookie sheet.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Break into small pieces (a pizza cutter
works well for this!)
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup cornmeal
either 1 lb liver or 1 can mackerel
4 eggs
tons of garlic
Put it in a food processor and spread it on a greased jelly roll pan...bake
for about 20-25 minutes at about 350 degrees...as you can tell...there
are no definites so good luck.
Note: I normally do not measure ingredients. Do not worry. Just take
the approach that your dogs will enjoy these treats however they turn
out. These taste really, really good! I have been known to grab a few
with a glass of wine, when I have run out of people munchies...
Heat to boiling: 1 can (12 oz) of Vegetable Broth
Pour over: 1C rolled
oats, 1 stick margarine
Stir and let sit for 5 minutes. Make certain the entire stick of margarine
has melted.
Grate 1 to 1 1/2 pounds Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese; add to oat
mixture. (While Extra Sharp is best, your dogs will not complain if you
use the cheaper Sharp Cheddar.)
Grate 2-3 cloves of garlic; add to oat mixture. (I have also done this
earlier, and added it to the veggie broth as it's heating up.)
Stir well.
Add 1 egg; stir in well.
Stir in flour with a big spoon. You should be able to stir in 2-3 cups
of flour by hand. Once you cannot make any progress with the spoon, go
to your hands. It helps to grease your hand. (Crisco is a really good
hand cream!) With the flour that I knead in by hand, I probably use about
4 cups of flour in total. The dough should be fairly stiff.
Grease VERY WELL the bottom and sides of either a 9X13 cake pan or the
larger jelly roll pan. (For these, I like the jelly roll pan better.)
Pat in the dough, pressing it out evenly. Hint: I just use my hands to
grease the pan, and then knead in the flour as described above.
Bake at 325 F for 45 minutes-1 hour. The treats should be moderately
browned when they are done.
Turn out of the pan and cut into pieces. I usually cut 2 large pieces
to fit into 1 quart freezer bags -- and freeze those. For the remainder,
I cut into quarter-inch pieces and put into baggies. I have big dogs,
and this size of piece gives me 2 rewards, or 1 super-reward, when I
train.
Blenderize 3-4 pounds of raw, drained chicken livers
Blenderize 4-6 cloves of garlic
Add 1/2 cup vegetable oil. Bacon fat may be substituted (optional,
but required for a smooth consistency).
Add 3-4 cups of white flour. Stir well - an electric mixer works best!
Turn into a VERY WELL GREASED cake pan or jelly roll pan.
Bake at 300-350 degrees F for about an hour.
Once done baking, turn the brownie out on a cutting board to cool. Slice
into strips or small pieces.
To freeze, place a folded paper towel in the freezer bag along with
the brownies. This will keep whatever frost that forms making your brownies
soggy.
These treats are very, very tasty and a small piece goes a long way,
even with big dogs! |
